Cliff’s round mat is a therapy device designed and created by the founder of Cliff OÜ, Kalju Pluutus. In 20.12.2012, the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market issued an industrial design for Cliff’s round mat, certifying that no similar products have been previously registered within the European Union in the category of „Gymnastic and other sports equipment and devices“. Cliff’s round mat can be used as training equipment for performing different gymnastic and balance exercises.
Haapsalu Neurological Rehabilitation Centre tested Cliff’s round mats during the period of 18.09.2013 – 01.06.2014, in order to assess its suitability for carrying out therapy with neurological patients in a clinical environment.

Mini – Cliff’s journey to physical therapy

We visited HNRC in September, 2013. We had already scheduled a time and were introducing the new product to local physical therapists. It sparked interest and discussion. We tried different exercises, went over pros and cons and received some recommendations. First, the cover should be waterproof and imitation leather, easier to clean, also liquids and dirt won’t penetrae. Second, using stronger porolone was recommended, and third, that all parts would be equipped with zippers so they could be easily washed and changed.
